I know it's been a few days since my last post. So sorry! So much going on, my darling daughter and SIL moved to a townhouse across the bay; so this place was turned upside down and of course all during the week of Thanksgiving (crikey!). Between making a few trips over and back and preparing the turkey feast, it's been a bit frantic.

Yeppers, I managed to cook a 20+ pound turkey and all the fixins in my teeny tiny kitchen ha!


It's a juggling act; organization is an absolute must or it's disaster! ha!

HOW TO ~ BOOK PAGE SHIMMERING WREATH USING PUNCH OUT FLORETTES

As I promised, here is the step-by-step tutorial for creating a shimmering book page wreath using punch out florettes!

These wreaths are dazzling! There is so much to love about this type of wreath (plus you are recycling ha!)! I could go on for ages about how stunning these are, but maybe you should just make one...yes?!

What have I been up to? Well, I've been working on a number of smaller projects over the past month, from sparkly hearts and wreaths to redoing my wood frames. It's the frames we are going to talk about today.

A few months back I posted that I wanted to redo my living room. I am so over the gaudy gold. I know, I know, some of you out there love it; and I've loved it too....but I am so over it and so into the beauty of silver.

ANTIQUE FAIR @ CANDLESTICK PARK PART TWO

LET'S GO SHOPPING AT THE FIRST ANTIQUE FAIR AT CANDLESTICK PARK PART I OF II

I did split this into two parts. There was so much to see. So let's begin part I.

Of course, what a better backdrop could there be than this for any fair...

A BIRD HOUSE SOME PAINT AND A TRANSFORMATION!

What is it about bird houses that are just so bloody charming?! I cannot resist one ever! I have so many! Several are a pending project; some to paint, some to mosaic. I got out my paint and paint brushes and made a bit of progress. Wanna seeeeeee? ha!

I couldn't resist using my beautiful hydrangea as a backdrop!

ALAMEDA POINT ANTIQUES FAIR ~ MY FABULOUS FINDS

I am still so bummed that my battery died when I was at Alameda! So many fabulous things I couldn't take photos of! I did manage to find some reasonably priced finds that (naturally) made their way home with me!

Let's start with a bit of silver shall we?!

Once again I must preface with...you gotta KNOW me by now! I'm gonna muck it up some how! So here is the how.

My darling son-in-law bought me a memory thingy for my camera that allows me take 300 photos instead of just 25-35. Yippee! I'm all set...yes?! Ummm nope, I forgot to check the battery and the rest of my afternoon went something like this:

GASP at something so amazingly fabulous....quickly reach into my purse for the camera, then (insert expletive of your choice). *sigh* :(

I did manage the first 4 rows of the left side of the faire only! So here we go...

Never found out how much this chandy is, but I so heart it!

THE SAGA OF PAINTIN PLACE PART 1

He's home! He's home! My son is home for spring break!

He promised to help me with some projects! I have so many things I want to do (as you well know ha!). I can't wait to get started!

Sooooo, let's play where's Monkey Head Fred (my nickname for him, he's on the fence about it....wonder if it's cause his name isn't Fred ha!

A SHABBY PINK SATURDAY MORNING IN BED & THRIFTY FINDS

Good morning, Pinkettes & savvy bargin hunters! Today I thought it would be fun to share how I spend most (Pink) Saturday mornings with you.

I hop out of bed, (yep, I hop, I'm a morning person) ha!

I FINISHED THE MIRROR PROJECT ~ WANNA SEA?

Ok, a confession first....forgot the bloomin before photo....again! What is wrong with me? (that was rhetorical) ha!

You see, I get so busy gathering all my supplies before I begin my project, I forget to take the before photo. You've done it once or maybe twice...yes? (Lie to me ok! ha!)

So, I'm starting with the back and you need to try to imagine it has definition, okie dokie?!

MYSTERY BLUE SPRAY PAINT REVEALED ~ SUNGLASSES NOT INCLUDED

I have been on a quest to find a good outdoor spray paint in a pretty cottage style color.

I came across one that I haven't tried before. It called to me...Tina, try me...I'm new, I'm sooooo smooth, I have twice more the paint than those other cans.

So I bought it. However, before I use it to paint this....

A MAKEOVER AND A GIVEAWAY

This next makeover almost didn't happen. When I first saw this, I walked right by it. I immediately dismissed it as it wasn't close to what I wanted. A few steps later the light bulb *lit*

I've seen so many tiered trays, some made with vintage china plates, some in silver, some are wired baskets, I'm sure you've seen some of them. I've never seen one that I've fallen in love with that was in my almost non-existent budget.

So this is what I almost passed up last December....

I CANNOT BELIEVE I'M GOING TO DO THIS!

I've lived with this long enough! I can't take it anymore! Something has got to give! I've got to transform this space!!!

WARNING ~ Before you go any further, there will be no instantaneous after photos. I'm sorry to disappoint, but, I'm not one of those type A Superbloggers who say..."oh, btw, I decided to change my space" then *poof* a day later the entire space is 3 feet bigger in each direction with freshly painted walls, stripped and repainted tables, including newly reupholsterd furnishing; all of which they had found the day before at GW for a buck. I admire their talent and their energy. So inspiring. They make ya wanna smack em upside the head with their saftey goggles! ha!

PINK SATURDAY ~ URNS AND ROSES AND LINKS...OH MY!

I have been running about trying to accomplish several things at once. Not too successfully ha! Seems as fast as I go, time is faster. I'm definitely having a white rabbit Saturday! I'm late, I'm late, for my very important pink date....


I'm sure you fellow pinks recall this from last Saturday....

Here is it filled with loads and loads of pink (faux) roses...


You know my motto, go faux, go big!

I had a few pink roses left over and added a few pink hydrangeas, pulled out another one of my favorite urns and...voila!



You recall my Michaels steal of a deal vase that I filled with pink cherry blossoms, it normally hangs in front of the large window in my dining room.

Since all the light is behind it, it doesn't show well in photos, see...


Side note: My blanc de blanc staffordshire like cats flanking the arrangement were given a lite sanding, one coat of Kilz primer/sealer (spray can), two coats of American Standard Blossom White (spray can) and a high gloss finish (spray can).

I put the cherry blossoms over here for a better photo....


See my little living room, I'm dying to paint that knotty pine armoire french blue and get a slip cover for the sofa....but that's another post!
