PINK SATURDAY AND THE STYLISH HOUSE GIVEAWAY

Happy Pink Saturday everyone! Thank you so much to our fabulous Beverly of How Sweet the Sound for hosting!

Welcome fellow pinks!

First, lets dive right into my pink offering. You may remember my little pink heart....

...that broken in 3 places whan I dropped it....

I salvaged most of the buttons from the broken one and made a new (and improved) pink heart!

I doubled the styrofoam base to make it more secure. No more broken heart! ha!

Now (for those of you who have yet to discover this fabulous blog) I'd like to introduce you to a very creative, inspiring, talented blogger who is having a fabulous giveaway to celebrate her 1st Blogiversary!

Make sure to pop over to visit Cathy @ The Stylish House and view her beautiful decor and wonderful how to tutorials; and get all the details for a chance to win a Pottery Barn $200 gift card!

If you get a chance leave me a hello before you dash off to visit Cathy! ha!

Have a wonderful weekend and good luck to all who enter!

Here is a link back to Beverly's Pink Saturday to help you get back to all those fabulous pink bloggers!

Cheers!

  2. Thanks for stopping by my blog and your comment. You mentioned the scheduler - I failed to realize I needed to set the time zone ( settings tab, formatting tab, scroll down to time zone). That has messed up my scheduling too, until I realized it. I have ...I cannot tell you how many broken pieces of glass/ceramic stuff b/c I have wanted to do this very thing for so long. I did have some vintage stuff but can't find it. love your header mosaic photo and what's in it. AWESOME! And love your heart! Enjoyed your post! I'll be backto your blog sometime soon to look around more. Thanks, Jenn

I'm impressed how you were able to salvage this piece, and improve upon the it by making the base more stable.

  25. OH tina, Love your heart of buttons, and I knew I had seen you somewhere, your mosaics are BEAUTIFUL. One of those things on my list to learn how to do, I have the table all primed, but it got too cold to finish painting, and then I was going to attempt the broken china on the top. Maybe this summer. Love your tassles too, SOmeone else made one , and I knew I had seen it somewhere before, and I think it was you. Yours are prettier. Thank you for coming by my blog, your comment is so sweet. Hope you come by often, as I will yours :)

  47. I so enjoy reading your wonderful and sweet comments! Thank you dear blogmates and welcome to those who are visitng me for the first time!

To Bird, it is easy, just a bit time consuming. Basically you wrap a form with ribbon, adhere the buttons until you achieve the desired look, add a hanging ribbon and viola! I will be adding a tutorial for this project in the near future.

To Elisa, yes, all the broken china mosaics you see on my blog were made by me. I do offer tutorials, there is a link below my header and in my left side margin to all my tutorials.

Again, thank you for visiting me! If I've not been by yet, I will be there shortly!

    Blessing,
    Tina

  52. Love this sweet heart Tina!! You always come up with the neatest projects!!

My back is feeling so much better! I just keep taking breaks here and there and lay on the tennis ball for a little bit- so glad I remembered about it! I would love to take meds to help but have a bit of a problem with them so try and stay clear for the most part! I did end up having a glass of wine which helps relax those ol muskels abit!

Have you made anymore of your wonderful tassels? Sure do like those!
