ORNAMENT WREATH ~ PINK SATURDAY

Happy Pink Saturday everyone! Thank you so much to our fabulous Beverly of How Sweet the Sound for hosting!

If you haven't already, do wander over to Beverly's blog and say hello. Get comfy, grab a cuppa and enjoy all the fabulous pinks the other wonderful and clever participants have posted.

I know Thanksgiving is right around the corner, but my mind is on Christmas. So today I am going to share a heart shaped ornament wreath I made. Some of you may have noticed it in my side margin.

Each ornament was wired onto a wire frame. I only used a small dab of glue to hold the shape of the glass pearl garland where needed.

This is my favorite shot.....

wreath heart ornaments vintage glass

..a full frontal (ha!)...

some detail.....

I finished the back so that it can be hung on a wreath holder (no worries about a messy back)....

I only made a few and happy to say they all sold. They were all about 21"h x 20"w, quite large. Very labor intensive and the packing and shipping was a bloody nightmare! I swore I'd never make another after all the hassle. But, after doing this post, I might make a couple for this season, just smaller, maybe around 16".

Now, before I go, I found HGTV Share My Craft page recently...if you'd like to take a peek, you can click here

Thanks so much for taking the time to visit me! I love reading your comments!

Now I'm off to view the other fabulous participants and their post for
Beverly's Pink Saturday! Everyone is always welcome! Do join us, won't you!?

Hugs & kisses!

I'm going to make one for my front porch or door. I have a lot of extra bulbs in pink, silver, purple and it would be perfect. I've been trying to figure out what to put our there besides what is already out there and this would do the trick for me, chick!! Just beautiful....

  16. Oh Tina you just keep outdoing yourself!! I love these ornament wreaths but the heart just puts this one over the top!!!

They are so fragile- I do wonder how they will store and ship- do you ever have any problems with an ornament or 2 breaking?

  17. The wreath is gorgeous with all those shinny bulbs. I think it takes a lot of time and patience to make one. And imagination, of course.
Thanks for the lovely welcome message.
    Have a nice weekend!

  18. Thank you all for taking the time to visit me and leaving your wonderful comments!

Mary, to answer your question; I wired the bulbs in so when one breaks, you untwist it and wired in another.

It has happened only once, she easily replaced it herself.

    Thanks again!

    xoxo

  46. It's fabulous - I love the closeups, and the back is perfeclty finished (great for a glass door). I love things you can look at the back of - so many people just don't bother.

Happy Pink Saturday - I'm sorry I'm so shamefully late, but trying to prepare for this show (middle of next week) has totally thrown me into panic mode, and I'm getting nowhere fast! Hence I haven't done my visiting (it didn't help I was teaching 2 classes Saturday, and 1 on Sunday).

  54. This is beautiful! I'm planning to try it myself with Christmas colors. Did you wire the ornaments onto the wire by attaching the metal "stem" of the ornament? I bought a foam wreath to use, but now that I've read that I may use a wire form instead. Thank you for showing the close-up of the back view. Covering the back was a nice added touch!
