Welcome to Today's Thrifty Treasures hosted by the fabulous Rhoda at Southern Hospitality . Thank you Rhoda for hosting!
I love seeing all the fabulous finds that clever thrifters have scored...don't you?! Grap a cup of java or tea and pop over to Rhoda's to see her fablous finds and use her handy list to pop over to the other participants blogs. The link to Rhoda's post is at the bottom of this post. (I want you to see mine before you go!) lol
Today I have only a tiny $1.75 installment to share. I found these at the Salvation Army. I've been looking for a set of birdie salt and pepper shakers for some time. I particularly want a pair in white porcelain. These aren't white but they sang out to me.
They made a sneak preview at my debut for Table Scape Thursday , hosted by Susan at Between Naps on the Porch.
Now, last week I showed you this cute litte pot I picked up at the thrift store...
It was screaming out for a makeover. Here it is all primed and ready to get some color. So far so good. After it dried I painted it aqua...not so good. Then sage green, nope...then pink....nope...then, finally, I settled on a color. Which color did I settle on? Well, you have to wait until next monday! *cheeky grin*
Now pop over to Rhoda's Today's Thrifting Treasures for more fabulous finds!
Happy week to all!
I love those birds!! They are too precious...I also see fabric I have in my stash in the first picture.
ReplyDeleteClever idea to use the lamp base for a holder for spraying. Another use for the bases I have in my garage!
Cute birdies!!! Okay, keep us in suspense about the color. What? Pink didn't work? How is that possible? LOL!!
ReplyDeleteHave a super day!

Those birds are sweet. Can't wait to see what you decided for the final paint color. I really like the shape of that pot, btw.

Great piece! I can't wait to see what color it will be.
ReplyDeleteVery cheeky of you, indeed, to leave me in suspense, but I do love a mystery! Those S&P shakers are so sweet, and you set a very pretty table. I admire people who can do that. You definitely have an artistic eye!
ReplyDeleteHi Tina! Those little birdies are so cute! I like them. And I'm looking forward to seeing more of your tablescape on Thursday :0)
ReplyDeleteI can't believe you left us hanging on the color of the flower pot! I loved your bird shakers and I went back and looked at some of your other posts. That table setting is almost too pretty to sit down and eat at...did you? What a gorgeous setting. Thanks for stopping by my site.
ReplyDeleteHow cute and at a great price. What a pretty table.

Love those oh so cute birdies. Hmm, maybe black, or antique white?

Hi Tina. I'm sorry for the delay in returning the blog love. I meant to get over here sooner but things just kept getting in the way. I love how you dressed up the table. So darling.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog the other day. Now, I'm off to look around your blog. Have a great day!
Your table is fabulous! I love tablescapes! I'm off to check out your pretty mosaics.
ReplyDeleteLove those little peepers you found they are the cutest...If I had those I'd have to admit they'd probably end up outside in my garden posing in flower pots or joining my wild birds in their feeding trough.
ReplyDelete=^..^=
Well, they say paint is the cheapest fix. So I say go for it!
